How Can the Body Restoration Technique - BRT - Help? Dr. Beth L. Speckman, D.C. is a certified Body Restoration Technique (BRT) Practitioner. Dr. Beth has been successful using BRT to increase the function of the thyroid. BRT is a non-invasive way to increase the communication throughout the body. When it concerns the thyroid, the communication with the Pituitary, Hypothalamus, Liver, Ovaries, Adrenals, Heart, and Parathyroid are very important. These key connections keep the Thyroid running at an optimal level. Many patients have been able to decrease their Thyroid medications and eventually stopping medications all together. Their symptoms have ceased and they are able to live normal lives with energy, weight loss, better concentration, better mood, and no pain.
"What if my lab tests are normal?" Hormone deficiency takes years to show up and the body will compensate until 90 percent of the glands stops working. And your hormones will function for normal activities but will not be adequate for many of the extra stresses of life. You’ll be okay if you are on a remote tropical island away from the stresses of life, but if we insert you into the hectic pace of living, your hormones will be inadequate to cope. You can have advanced scar tissue of the liver yet show a NORMAL blood test. The other point is to look at the whole picture or you will also miss the real cause. For example, let’s say you do have low thyroid hormones. This could be from high estrogen levels. And let’s say your liver hormones are low. This could be from high adrenal hormones. The relationship between these hormones is not well known. Without evaluating the whole scene, you’ll get only half of the picture and could end up treating the wrong gland.
